Every couple and every love story is unique, so it feels only right that your wedding ceremony should be too. At Moments That Matter, Lorna and Nicki believe your ceremony should be a true reflection of who you are — your personalities, your relationship, your values and, most importantly, the love you share.

As Independent Wedding Celebrants, we give you the freedom to create a ceremony that is personal, meaningful and completely your own. There is no one-size-fits-all approach and you are not bound by tradition unless you want to be.

We love getting to know each couple and watching their ceremony take shape. Together, we can choose the words, music, poems, readings and special touches that tell your story. You might want to include family traditions, cultural or religious elements, symbolic rituals or something completely unique to you. Your ceremony can be as secular, spiritual, traditional or modern as you wish.

And because your ceremony isn't tied to a church or registry office, you have the freedom to celebrate wherever your heart takes you. Perhaps you imagine an intimate gathering at home, a windswept beach ceremony, a romantic woodland setting, a beautiful garden, a grand castle or stately home — or somewhere completely unexpected. Whether your day is quiet and intimate or a joyful celebration surrounded by everyone you love, we will create a ceremony that works beautifully for you in your chosen setting.

Bringing Your Vision to Life

From our first conversation, we’ll take the time to understand what matters to you. We will work closely with you to create a bespoke ceremony filled with warmth, personality, and those little details that make it unmistakably yours.

We can help you create your own vows, write them with you or create them on your behalf. You’ll have the opportunity to read through your ceremony and make changes until you feel completely happy with every word.

We’ll also be there to support you with a rehearsal, helping everything flow naturally and making sure you feel confident and relaxed before the big day. Then, when your moment arrives, we’ll be there to deliver your ceremony with warmth, professionalism and genuine enthusiasm.

Please remember, as celebrants we are unable to legally marry you. We work alongside a registrar, either on the day or after, to celebrate your union. If you choose to complete the legal formalities separately, these can be carried out at your local registry office with the required witnesses. Your celebrant ceremony can then take place at the time and location of your choosing, allowing you to celebrate your marriage in the way that feels right for you.
